Vietnamese keyboard — type the tone marks

Type Vietnamese with proper diacritics in any browser, with no software installed and nothing to sign up for. Telex and VNI both work, or tap the letters below. Everything happens on your device.

Or tap a letter

Each row is one vowel with its six tones, in the order they are taught: bare, sắc, huyền, hỏi, ngã, nặng.

Type the tone letter anywhere after the vowel and it lands on the right one — chaof gives chào, tieengs gives tiếng, nguoiwf gives người. Press the same tone key twice to clear it.

Typing it is the easy half.

The marks are a keyboard problem. The tones are a mouth problem — and FluentViet scores yours against a Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng or Sài Gòn local who genuinely does not understand you until you land them.
